Winter Magazine Editorial: Scandinavian Warmth

Today we are showcasing the creative works that surrounded our bridal model Erica. Fashion, HMUA, and Jewelry. The capture of all this creative contribution on Erica by Kelsie EmM Photography, her work is powerful and unique.

This gown is from the Sweetheart Collection by Justin Alexander at Fantasy Bridal, it is a soft chiffon style featuring a deep V-neckline, pleated bodice, blouse sleeves with button closures at the wrists, and A-line skirt. And the movement this gown procured paired perfectly with all the layers of this shoot.

I wanted to add a unique set of jewelry into this shoot and source that locally from a creative and artisan that works with pieces on a more connective basis. I found that in Pixel & Torch who provided all the pieces to accessorize the look.

For HMUA I brought in a talented creative that has been a mainstay here in the UT wedding industry, outputting beautiful work on brides for many years! I had worked with her before a few years back on another editorial and knew she would be a reliable source to really do this shoot justice, she did not disappoint! Warm tones complimented Erica’s brown eyes and were amplified by full lashes and darker brows to really draw attention to the eyes. Neutral tones elsewhere kept things feeling natural, feminine, and connective to the style of the shoot. The foundation had an HD effect, as to look flawless in photos but also in person! Her hair was kept mostly down to show off her naturally long thick locks. A few added braids and twists to the back gave some intricate detail without distraction. The hair kept with the theme of movement encouraging an organic look that is comfortable and flowing!
