Madeline + Zak were set up on a blind date in the summer of 2015 and they sealed the deal 2 years later! Their summer boho style wedding was adorable!
We wanted our wedding to imitate our summer adventures in the mountains so we chose an ethereal, eclectic wedding theme with colorful, boho vibes. Choosing the White Shanty in Provo for it’s simple, industrial, and modern design, we celebrated our summer wedding under a giant trellis of colorful wildflowers in a room surrounded by friends, family, and mismatched boho decor. We share the same favorite holiday, July 4th. We booked our wedding during the fourth of July weekend, so I decided to add some casual Americana styles into our fun, summer theme. With the help of my insanely creative florist Danielle, our unique, Boho-Americana theme incorporated white and chambray blue colors to serve as backdrops against the bright wildflowers. Bridesmaids wore chambray, striped ticker dresses, and groomsmen wore chambray ties with mismatched boutonnieres. Outside of the venue hung a massive American Flag in honor of Independence Day. Inside the venue was a delicious barbecue dinner with summer salads, a lemonade bar, and desserts including All-American apple pie bars. From the wedding at the Draper Utah Temple (located in the mountains) to the celebration at the White Shanty, the day was filled with sunshine, love, and pure happiness!
