Blue Velvet + Mandarin Orange: 2017 Editorial Details I

Every wedding begins with an invitation, it is the first thing the guests come into contact with that symbolizes the style + type of celebration the couple has chosen! A design that represents the style of the couple + the wedding is key! Paper goods are often needed throughout the landscape of the wedding design as well, it is important to keep the paper goods relevant, coordinated, and flowing. We brought on Ann from Ann Elizabeth to design the invite sweet plus all paper goods for this shoot, and she did not dissapoint! Bringing in a full invite suite and accompanying paper goods that moved with the design of the shoot flawlessly! Here is what she had to say about her designs for this shoot:

An important part about creating invitations is incorporating texture into the work. The sparkly, glitter liner featured in these invitations is a highlight for me because that shimmer and warmth is the first glimpse of the set when the envelope is cracked open. I’m also very drawn to over-sized everything right now. I love the large size of these invitations and how each of the pieces was able to be large including an over-sized RSVP card and envelope. When working with large pieces, it’s important to break up the tone or texture that you’re using into different shades or complementing shades so I designed each piece of this set to be slightly different in tone.

A large portion of Utah’s population happen to be dog lovers, and in many cases animals are a part of the couple’s story and journey. We wanted to incorporate this gorgeous husky into a few images with the bride + groom to serve up some inspiration on how to include your canine family members!
