Today is all about the fashion elements of the editorial shoot and truthfully these elements play particularly key roles in every shoot but standout roles in this shoot! The look created on our bride was a culmination of a few extremely talented creatives here in Utah. Starting with this bridal gown from the local bridal fashion phenomenon Chantel Lauren. The “mae” is available in various colors and is hand painted every time! This particular “plantinum” version was perfect for the tones behind our theme. The flow of the “mae” coupled with the hand painting creates movement that is unsurpassed! A picture speaks a thousand words and these 8 images of Kayla in Chantel’s “mae” gown communicate the beauty of this gown plenty well!

We brought on Versa Artistry to do hair + makeup on this shoot, Flavia is one of the most highly sought after bridal hair + makeup artists in the state, and for good reason. She used the dress and style of the shoot to inspire and direct her creative work.

On makeup she gave a lot of focus to the frame of the face, brows, lashes, and lips. Keeping the complexion very smooth and creamy allowing the colors to move seamlessly into each other. Her favorite product, cream blush, helped create this creamy look and her mediums were all liquids and creams. This creates a dreamy look on the face, the kind we literally all dream we had! What better way to look on your wedding day! Those lush lips have a violet undertone to move with the theme and create a more fall inspired accent.

Flavia aimed for an organic style on hair design to go with the style of the dress and she did this without defaulting to the common “boho” look of the hair being down. She framed the face by draping the hair low to the chin and leaving some natural fall from the fringe area. An elegant and simple low bun that sits at the neck is classic and always in style which is also accented by some natural fall bringing attention to the curves of the neck and amplifying the feminine nature of the look.

Rough Hewn, owned by Kent Christensen, is a custom design jewelry co that creates one of a kind pieces for every project & client. Inspired by nature every piece evokes an interest in the earth and emotion! We were smitten with the custom rings + bracelets they provided for our shoot!

We don’t want to finish our fashion post without acknowledging the great fashion on our groom, all self provided, Corbin is a dapper dude!
