Winter 2017 Magazine: HMUA

We usually do a full fashion feature in each mag issue but with this particular go around I decided to throw something a little different out there. For our content shoot we did need a model and so I brought on a great HMUA team to showcase one beautiful bridal look. Each of them share their thoughts:

For an always flattering cheek and lip, use a color that you find naturally on the inner rim of your lips. This will give you a “blushing bride” effect with a natural flush that is always flattering like Storie’s pink-berry toned lips and cheeks. For her eyes, we did a soft smokey eye using contrasting browns and metallics to accentuate her gorgeous blue eyes, along with a pair of full but soft lashes. We lined her waterline with a black/brown for a softer appearance than pure black. Lastly, we finished her look with a light champagne highlight to brighten and make the the whole look glow. – Cyndi Johnson Beauty

To create this messy boho bridal look We prepped using davines texture spray placing loose beach waves throughout. I then teased the mowhawk section and smoothed it over with a boar bristle brush pinning at the crown. I then intertwined both a fishtail and standard three strand pull apart braid starting at the temples and twisting together in the back. I finished by running mythic oil through the ends separating my curls and set with more davines texture spray. – Kait Dix, Lovely Locks and Darling Dyes
