I fell in love with flowers while studying floral design at Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2002. I did my first wedding that same summer and loved it so much that I have been designing weddings ever since! I love creating flowers that have unique color palettes and unrivaled texture and I like all my bouquets to have an organic sophistication to them. I achieve this look by combining both sourced and foraged flowers and foliage. I love the classic look of fresh flowers paired with the more natural, foraged filler and greenery I find in the native environment around me. As a completely hopeless romantic, I love designing weddings and working with couples as they embark on their next grand adventure!

One of my favorite aspects of doing wedding florals is being able to spend time with and get to know my clients on a personal basis. All of my brides (or couples if the fiancée is so inclined) get to come sit down with me face-to-face and we design their wedding together! This unique experience helps me get to know their love story, their likes, their interests, and their personalities and all of this is then reflected in beautiful, personalized, custom wedding flowers.

While many brides are nervous that this approach is more expensive, and want to try and price shop their wedding vendors, it’s actually the opposite! Because we sit down and discuss all the details and answer any and all questions, I get a really good feel for what the bride would like and then I pair that with 14+ years of experience in the wedding industry and know how to get the look and style they want for the reasonable price they can afford. This just isn’t possible via e-mail with only a picture from Pinterest to guide us. My advice for all engaged couples is to research and find the vendors with the styles and artistry they love and then trust that vendor to be their partner in their wedding planning. My past couples know that I am there for them every step of the way, from our first design consultation to clean up after the reception.

For me, wedding flowers aren’t a job or a hobby, they’re a passion and nothing completes the look of a wedding like fresh flowers! I source my flowers from my native environment, and from suppliers across the United States and even internationally in order to bring my brides the freshest, most vibrant blooms on their wedding day. I love to incorporate unrivaled textures and amazing color into each and every one of my bouquets to create something that is uniquely theirs.

Emily from The Pear Blossom we appreciate your story! Brides … Jump on this wedding florist!
