Utah Wedding: Brittany + Jay

Brittany + Jay met through a social media post made by one Brittany’s friends that included her in it! We love their proposal story and Brittany graciously shared it with us!

After about a year of dating he surprised me with an engagement in La Jolla, CA. We were getting our caricatures drawn and when the artist flipped the portrait around for its final reveal, it was Jay with a ring and me gasping (which Jay can tell you, I have an immense proclivity for doing). He got down on one knee, said somewords I’m sure were very beautiful (none of which I remember because of the daze of phosphenes encircling my head), and I replied with, “Duh!” This coming from the girl who used to read the dictionary “for fun”.

We also loved what Brittany had to say about Jay:

There are so many things to love about Jay. His armor has managed to outshine each and every other knight’s I’ve encountered (and I’m 32 so there’s been a few). He is just such a good man. I love his integrity and his work ethic. I appreciate his faithfulness and his desire to seek the ultimate good, both in people and in situations. I also love how much he tries to understand me, which is no easy task. He makes our relationship a priority and that has been evident since the first few weeks of our courtship. Most of all, I love how much he makes me want to be the best version of myself. Jay came just when I needed him. Our whole relationship, he has known things that have taken me awhile to figure out. About life, about the world, about us, and even about myself. We are two very different human beings and so it’s been fun and interesting to see our different interests collide.

We loved the private residence vibe and all the natural green used for floral + decor. Brittany has such a great vibe to her style and Jay compliments her so well! Thanks for sharing with us guys, congrats! And thanks to Ak Studio & Design for sharing with us!
