Nicole + Jace met on Tinder, it works sometimes people for good things not just one night things! This cute couple shared their wedding with us along with their photographer Sara Weir. We know a good many of you got engaged over the holidays and you might be planning a summer soiree and we suspect you can find an inspiring element or two in this pretty little backyard wedding. We loved Nicole’s BHLDN gown + simple style, their moon backdrop + berry pies!
Here is what Nicole had to say about her big day:
My husband and I wanted a chill atmosphere with good food and things for people to do while they visited with others or ate their treats. Our backyard venue belongs to my husband’s friends. The weather was more perfect than I could have hoped for! We had farmhouse tables set up with the most perfect table-scapes I could have imagined! I had a thought for the blush pink hints with natural wood and greenery and Emmily from the Gatherist helped me bring my vision to life. Lights hung above the tables to create a warm outdoor atmosphere. My bouquet and flower crown were made by Shari from wedding design by Shari (who also happens to be my new aunt! ) she took our vision and created such lovely pieces. She also took my idea for using bullet casings and created the boutonnieres for the men, which my husband was sooo excited about. Some friends and I filled the table vases with flowers and greenery. We had tons of greenery hanging down the aisle and over our door arch for the ceremony. Our moon back drop was made by my sister-in-law’s brother and his wife for their wedding, and they kindly let us use it for our and even set it up! We had a small ceremony and everyone ate tacos after. Then everyone started to arrive for the reception where they could sip on soups and eat desserts, all made by my husband’s mom, and enjoy some yard games or hang out by the fire. Our elegant baked cake was also made by my husband’s mom (she’s such a wizard!). The cake topped with delicate flowers tied everything together beautifully. The entire day and every detail was perfect! I was so happy and grateful to have so much help from my family and friends. My husband’s sister and sister-in-law helped a lot with the food as well, and my mom and dad helped pull together last minute details when they arrived in town! From the dress, to the food, to every last flower, it was a magical day. Sara arrived early, shot every detail, and made every shot seem so effortless. The images turned out so wonderfully, which I knew they would!
The best part of the day without a doubt is getting to marry the man of my dreams, stand in front of our friends and family and commit to each other, in the most beautiful venue, and the photos will bring such lovely memories of that day that will last forever!
